Speaking on The Pivot podcast recently after fans hailed Ava Raine for her acting skills in WWE NXT, Dwayne Johnson opened up about his relationship with his daughter. With all honey, the legend admitted the impact of pro wrestling on his life.
He said, “I had so much shit going on. So, I like to say me and Simone grew up together.”
Adding to his narration of the anecdote of his life, The Rock revealed how he couldn’t give adequate time to her elder daughter.
“We had a relationship where I was always gone, but we tried to keep it together. Now years later as she becomes a pro wrestler, it’s actually brought us closer together. So, in a way, it’s helped save that relationship too. In many ways, pro wrestling has been my family’s savior,” The Brahma Bull added.

During the same podcast, DJ shared the story of how he had a major fight with his dad when he told him about joining the wrestling business. However, after some tears and intense arguments, he agreed to train his son. And since the first day of training, The Rock fell in love with the sport.
He said, “I was in love, that was it. So, in a way, wrestling did save my life and in a way thank you God, and the universe.”
Following this, he emphasized the fact that wrestling helped his grandfather and father improve their fortunes and turn their life around. All of this was possible because of wrestling. And even Johnson came a long way and now feels honored and privileged to watch her daughter doing the same.
