Unscripted action is often the most memorable. Each year there are Academy Award moments that become iconic, but not all can make a sound as loud as Will Smith’s slap across Chris Rock’s face. Now whether violence coated with the cloak of ‘defending the family’s honor’ or a joke at the expense of someone’s medical condition, is justified, remains a topic of debate to date. However, Jada Pinkett Smith made some eye-boggling revelations about her relationship with actor and husband Will Smith ahead of the release of her memoir ‘Worthy’, which left everyone in shock.
Former NFL players Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson could not contain themselves and addressed the situation on the “Nightcap Show.” Their debate on Jada’s soulmate-apart-from-the-husband situation had some serious unscripted action, that left their audience in splits.
“You’re my Tupac”: The Sharpe-Johnson spectacle
Jada Pinkett Smith announced that she and Will Smith had been living separately since 2016, although they were not officially divorced. She also shared insights into her relationship with the late singer and rapper, Tupac Shakur, referring to him as her “soulmate” but noting that there was “no chemistry between them.”
Sharpe acknowledged the information that took Sharpe by surprise. “What? Wait, are you sure she said that?” Sharpe replied, “That’s what she said. If it’s a lie, she told it…” This made Jonson question his relationship, making him ask his fiancée, “Excuse me? You got some, you gotta secret admirer? Is there anybody like your Tupac? Or…it’s just me? Huh?” The player could hardly contain his excitement following her reply. “Okay, she said I’m her Tupac!” exclaimed Johnson.
Sharpe did not seem to take Jata’s confession in a good light, he exclaimed, “She’s been talking about this man from the jump.” He went on to explain how despite having “someone that we were very very fond of” in the past one should not bring that up continuously as it might leave an impression on the present relationship dynamics.
“Unless you married your childhood sweetheart…I think we all have someone that we were very very fond of, but at every point and turn you don’t throw it up in the person’s face,” said the Hall of Famer. Sharpe replied, referring to the Jada-Will relationship dynamics, “This man, your husband, basically threw away a large part of his career, WHY? They’re separated.” Ochocinco was in utter disbelief. However, this is not the first time that the Hollywood couple’s relationship was under scrutiny on his show.
Tommy Davidson recounts Will’s confrontation
During his appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast, the comedian revealed that the ‘Emancipation’ star confronted him after his on-screen kissing scene with Jada Pinkett Smith. The 59-year-old recounted the incident where the ‘Bad Boys’ actor came to his trailer and confronted him over his on-screen kiss scene with Jada. “I don’t appreciate that,” said Will.
Jada had to step in to stop matters from escalating. “Jada was like, ‘Oh, nah, nah, y’all.’ I was like, ‘What you mean “nah, y’all”? Tell him!’” Davidson recalls. As the Jada-Will saga roles on, the release of the highly anticipated memoir, which is set to hit the shelves tomorrow, has everyone eyeing more unscripted action and counter-action.
