Morrissey’s long-anticipated memoir was released overseas last week. Despite being filled with many interesting, very-Morrissey tidbits, because we’re all nosy pervs, most people only seemed interested in talking about whether it reveals that he is gay. Morrissey writes in the book about a “whirlwind” relationship with Jake Owen Walters: “For the first time in my life the eternal ‘I’ becomes ‘we,’” adding, “Every minute has the high drama of first love, only far more exhilarating.” This led many to assume that he is in fact gay.
However, Morrissey felt the need to explain that it’s not so simple. Summing it up in a post to Trust to You:
“Unfortunately, I am not homosexual. In technical fact, I am humasexual. I am attracted to humans. But, of course … not many“.
He did not comment on whether he is a Homersexual.
