Spieth Legion tweeted the big news regarding the American professional finally playing in the Charlotte event for the first time. The tweet read: “J Spieth will play the Wells Fargo Championship for the first time in his career.”

It undoubtedly seemed only a matter of time until the PGA Tour player would really take part in the competition. The Wells Fargo Championship takes place in Charlotte, North Carolina every year, and has been going on since 2003; it usually starts in early May.
