Canadian bodybuilder Greg Doucette has carved out his identity in the fitness influencer space. However, unlike many social media influences, the 47-year-old has decades of experience in strength sports. Earlier, the YouTuber uploaded a collage of four back shots on his Instagram. Coach Greg wrote a caption stating when each photo was taken. Doucette also claimed he wasn’t a “natty” in one of the four pictures.

In his Instagram post, the popular fitness YouTuber explained why despite winning the Canadian nationals as a natural and enhanced athlete, he quit taking PEDs. Here’s what he had to say about the collage that encapsulated 20 years of bodybuilding.

Why losing 8 lbs of muscle didn’t bother Greg Doucette

In all four images, the former triathlete hit the back-double biceps pose. “Top left Age 20 142 lbs Natty,” wrote Doucette. In the image, the IFBB Pro’s back had the least muscle maturity compared to the others. His lats also lacked size. “Bottom left Age 25 149 lbs Natty,” pointed out the former powerlifter.

In the second photo, Doucette showed significant improvements in conditioning and gained muscle on his lats. “Top right age 31 169 lbs Natty,” wrote Coach Greg. While the third image was his best shape as a natural, it fell behind the last snap. “Bottom right age 41 193.5 lbs Not Natty,” he claimed. The final image showed how Doucette had improved every aspect of his physique after two decades of bodybuilding and hopping on steroids.

The 47-year-old explained he focused on conditioning in his youth. He came in shredded and won the “Canadian nationals” at 25. However, at 41, Doucette “came in at my all time leanest and biggest competing in the 212 class.” However, using PEDs took a toll on his health, and instead of continuing to compete, he “stopped abusing PED’s and lost about 8 lbs of muscle as it’s simply not worth the risk.”

While PEDs made him stronger they gnawed away at his health, and Doucette chose longevity over accolades. Today, he is on a mission to help people become fit the right way.

From competing to educating

With a combined social media following of over 2 million, the 47-year-old triathlete has become a prominent voice in the fitness community. Doucette uses decades of competition experience to educate his followers on exercise, diet, and steroids. He also doesn’t shy away from being politically incorrect and has often butted heads with movements such as body positivity and health at every size.

The former competitive powerlifter also has training programs and a cookbook chalked full of healthy, high-protein recipes. For the world record-holding powerlifter, the goal is to help people achieve their dream physique, which includes warning amateurs to stay away from using PEDs.
