Anderson Cooper and Seth Meyers could've made a cute couple—if they batted for the same team, that is.
The TV journalist appeared on NBC's Late Night Monday, where he recalled his first meeting with Meyers many years ago. According to Cooper, they first crossed paths at "the gayest gym on the planet. And I assumed you were gay, because there weren't a lot of other reasons to be there."
"This was before you officially came out," Meyers said. "So I assumed it was straight because you were there." Cooper, 46, publicly announced he was gay via an open letter to Andrew Sullivan in July 2012.
He noted that there were multiple levels of the gym, and Meyers seemed afraid to venture downstairs. "I felt like there was the gay-friendly, and then there was gay-curious, and then the bottom level was just full-gay. Like to get to the bottom level you had to go like behind the candelabra," the comic said.
